[vimeo id="112813835"] The Southeastern Leadership Forum is one of the largest events that SEU puts on throughout the year. We’ve hosted numerous experienced leaders who have led large organizations and have been instrumental in their field and in the world. Many have written numerous books on leadership and conducted groundbreaking research on various topics. This year, we have a great line up of speakers who are ready to invest into your leadership development.
Here’s this year’s line up.
First, Carly Fiorina. She was the first woman to lead a Fortune 500 company, serving as chairman and CEO of Hewlett–Packard from 1999 to 2005. During her tenure at HP, Fiorina led the reinvention of the legendary company, tripling its rate of innovation and accelerating the company’s growth. Under her leadership, HP doubled its annual revenues to $88 billion. Fiorina currently serves as Chairman of Good360, the world’s largest product philanthropy organization. She is one of the most recognized business leaders in the world, is politically active, and serves on the boards of several organizations.
Second, Daniel Goleman. He is a psychologist and author of the books Emotional Intelligence and Focus. He has been instrumental in transforming the way the world educates children, relates to family and friends, and conducts business. The Wall Street Journal named Dr. Goleman as one of the 10 most influential business thinkers. His book Emotional Intelligence was on the New York Times Best Seller list for more than 18 months and has been translated into 40 languages. This groundbreaking book, along with his follow-up work, Primal Leadership, unveiled scientific proof that a leader’s emotional competencies have an enormous impact on an organization’s bottom line.
Third, Jon Gordon. His best-selling books, including The Energy Bus, Training Camp, The Seed, and his newest book, The Carpenter, have inspired people around the world with his positive message. Jon has been asked to speak to a wide variety of audiences, including Fortune 500 companies, West Point Academy, and several professional and college athletic teams. Jon’s motivational sessions with teams like the Atlanta Falcons and LA Clippers have helped those teams improve their performance by teaching them to focus on positivity and eliminate “energy vampires.”
Fourth, Marcus Luttrell. His 2007 number one New York Times best-selling book, Lone Survivor, tells the harrowing story of four Navy SEALs who journeyed to the mountainous border of Afghanistan and Pakistan on Operation Redwing. This powerful story is a testament of courage, integrity, and friendship. The Lone Survivor story was recently released as a major motion picture starring Mark Wahlberg as Luttrell. His story will certainly inspire your leadership.
Fifth, Nancy Duarte. She is a communication expert who has been featured in Fortune, Forbes, Fast Company, the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and on CNN. Her firm, Duarte Incorporated is the global leader behind some of the most influential visual messages in business and culture. They have created more than a quarter of a million presentations. As a persuasion specialist, she has cracked the code for effectively incorporating story patterns into business communications. Nancy has been a speaker for a number of Fortune 500 companies and TED Talks. I know you will enjoy her presentation.
As you can see, we have great line up for you this year. We hope you can join us for this incredible event in March 2015. For more information on the Southeastern Leadership Forum, please visit www.seuleadershipforum.com.
